Nuevo Latino (New Latin) food is all the rage, but Julio's immersed itself in Pan-Latin cuisine long before the term caught on. More and more people are catching the rhythm of the Latin beat and it's easy to see why. Its bold, spicy flavors are widely appealing to today’s adventurous diners.
Latin cuisine is a wealth of culinary diversity overflowing with tropical fruits and vegetables, intriguing herbs and spices, nutritious grains and plentiful seafood. Each entree offers a new experience so come back and travel through the menu from Julio’s native Ecuador to the Caribbean islands. Offering a full libation menu that includes an exquisite selection of over 40 premium tequilas and 30 premium rums, Julio’s invites you to try its signature fresh lime margaritas. For those with a special interest in wines, Julio’s features the grapes of South America, California and Spain.
The beat of an intriguing samba sets the mood in our congenial tropical setting.

About Julio and Cindy
Julio’s passion for cooking started at an early age while helping his mother prepare meals for their large family in Ecuador. His appreciation for his native culture and good food, plus his desire to share them, have come together in a warm and gracious setting known as Julio’s Cocina Latina.

Cindy has been in the restaurant business for nearly 40 years. Her exposure to the industry stemmed from her first love: music. She began as a singing cocktail waitress doing three shows a night for the Gaslight Club.
After meeting, Cindy and Julio's lives intertwined with the single goal of owning a restaurant. Finally, after three years of searching for a location, they opened their Lake Zurich restaurant in 1991.
The rest is history . . .
